Logie-Smith Lanyon welcomes George Kolliou, senior tax counsel

Logie-Smith Lanyon is pleased to welcome George Kolliou as senior tax counsel.
George qualified as an accountant in 1984 and worked for the ATO for 3 years followed by a 12-month stint at the ANZ Bank before entering public practice specialising in business taxation. After over 15 years in public practice, George decided on a change of direction, completing a law degree in 2005.
He was the instructing solicitor in the first GST case to go to the High Court of Australia and is a frequent presenter at conferences and seminars and contributor to professional journals on tax matters.
George advises accountants and their clients on a wide range of tax matters including CGT, GST, superannuation, estate planning, FBT, business purchases and the tax implications of commercial contracts.
